The Rhythmic Stitch of Resilience

How Knitting Anchored My Soul Life has a way of placing exactly what we need into our hands, often long before we realize we need it. About five years ago, I found myself in the middle of a storm, a devastating illness affecting a loved one. As I sat by the phone, trapped in that agonizing, breathless space between updates, I felt the walls closing in. But I was not adrift. I had an anchor, one that had been waiting for me for years. A Quiet Providence Looking back, I see the threads of fate. Two years before that crisis, I had stumbled upon a garage sale. An older lady sat at an elegant marble patio table under a sun umbrella, with very little to offer. Amidst the sparse collection lay two long needles, two balls of wool, and a "How to Knit" book. It was only two dollars. I don’t know what possessed me that day. I’ve never had great hand-eye coordination; it wasn't a natural talent. But something whispered, "Just take it." So, I bought it, and for eighteen mon...

Drop the Spatula, Grab Your Hijab

Your Soul is Calling Standing at the edge of a gravelly beach looking out at the water. We’ve all been there. You’re standing in the kitchen, staring at a pile of laundry that seems to be reproducing when you aren't looking. You think, “I should really go for a walk,” but then the "Domestic Committee" in your head starts its meeting: "The chicken isn't defrosted." "The neighbor might think I'm idling." He has turned the entire world into a giant "Open House" for those who want to find Him. "Indeed, in the creation of the heavens ...

Imagine a World Built on Justice, Not Greed

Imagine a world Where Justice Heals the Soul   Scenes of pairs of people helping each other.  Imagine a world without taxes, not because people are selfish  but because responsibility is embedded in the soul of society. Imagine a world where the wealthy, from the comfortably rich to the ultra-wealthy, give  2.5% of their accumulated wealth  — not their income, not their earnings, but their  savings after living expenses . A small portion that cleanses wealth, circulates provision, and restores dignity to the poor. Imagine a world without interest. Where money is not a tool of exploitation. Where the rich lend to the poor seeking only the return of their principal . No profit from another person’s hardship, no wealth built on debt, no lives crushed under compounding numbers. Imagine a society where the strong feel responsible for the weak. Where poverty is not criminalized. Where the poor are not shamed, ignored, or blamed ,  but supported, uplifted, and protected. Im...
