السَّÙ…ِيعُ — As-Samee’
“The Meaning in Simple Words”
The All-Hearing
He hears everything.
📖 Teaching the Name
Share the child-friendly explanation to help your learners connect with As-Samee’ from the workbook.
·
What this Name teaches us: As-Samee’ means that Allah is the All-Hearing. He hears
absolutely everything in the entire universe. He can hear the loudest
thunderclap, but He also hears the quietest whisper, and even the thoughts we
keep deep inside our hearts.
·
Seeing this quality in everyday life: Think about how amazing our ears are. We can
hear a bird singing outside, a sibling laughing, or rain pattering on the
window. All of these sounds are blessings. But while our ears can only hear
things that are close by, As-Samee’ hears
everything, everywhere, all at the exact same time.
·
Finding comfort and guidance: Knowing Allah is As-Samee’ brings so
much comfort. It means we are never truly alone. Whenever a child feels scared,
sad, or happy, they can speak softly to Allah. He always hears their secret
prayers (dua), no matter how quiet they are.
✍️ Writing Practice: 3 Gentle Ways
·
For Younger Learners: Tactile Writing
1️⃣ Form the Arabic letters of the Name using a sand or salt tray,
finger paint, playdough, or textured cards.
·
For Developing Writers: Tracing Practice
2️⃣ Trace the Name slowly and smoothly while saying As-Samee’ aloud together.
·
For Older Learners: Copy Work
3️⃣ Neatly copy the Arabic script, transliteration, and meaning
into a dedicated notebook or reflection journal.
💛 Personal Reflection Prompt
Ask your child:
“How can we remember
As-Samee’ today?”
OR
“When did you notice
the blessing of hearing from Allah today?”
🌱 Simple Activity Idea
Sound Map & Reflection: Take a few quiet moments to listen intently
to the sounds around you. Draw or write down a few things you can hear right
now. Reflect together on how limited our own hearing is—we can only hear things
that are nearby and loud enough—whereas As-Samee’ hears
every single sound across the world, all at the same time.
🌙 Bedtime Connection
Read a poem or nasheed
softly together before bed. Encourage your children to:
·
Whisper a quiet, personal thank-you prayer to As-Samee’ for the day's blessings.
·
Create a simple melody or line for a family nasheed using the
Name.
·
Practice making a silent dua in their hearts
before they go to sleep, remembering that He hears them perfectly.
