Sensory & Kinesthetic Expansion Guide

As an educator with over 30 years of experience, I know that children learn best when they move. Use these activities to turn a worksheet into a lasting memory.

Book 7: Love & Forgiveness

Names: Al-Wadood, Al-Ghafoor, At-Tawwab, etc.

💞 The "Warm Hug" (Sensory/Emotional): For Al-Wadood (The Most Loving), use a weighted blanket or a warm rice bag. The "deep pressure" sensation is calming and helps the child associate the Name with the feeling of being securely loved.

✋ The "Eraser Trace" (Tactile): For Al-Ghafoor (The Forgiving), have the child write a "mistake" in pencil and then slowly, intentionally erase it, visualizing how Allah wipes away our errors when we ask.

🏃💛 Kinesthetic & Spiritual: For At-Tawwab (The Acceptor of Repentance), teach the Hadith of Uthman (ra) regarding wudu. Perform wudu and two focused rak’at together as a physical act of seeking a fresh start.
