Sensory & Kinesthetic Expansion Guide

As an educator with over 30 years of experience, I know that children learn best when they move. Use these activities to turn a workbook into a lasting memory.

Book 8: Strength & Might

Names: Al-Qawiyy, Al-’Azeez, Al-Jabbaar, etc.

🏃 The "Resistance Push" (Kinesthetic): For Al-Qawiyy (The Strong), have the child push against a wall with all their might. Discuss how our strength has limits, but Allah’s Strength is infinite and never tires.

🛡️ Stomping & Stillness (Kinesthetic): For Al-Jabbaar (The Compeller), lead a "mighty march" around the room. End the march in absolute stillness to demonstrate the concept of control and power.

🧠 Ethical Mapping (Cognitive): For Al-Haseeb (The Reckoner), divide a page into two columns labeled "Paradise" and "Hellfire." Brainstorm specific deeds that lead toward each destination and categorize them to help visualize accountability.

Book 8 Overview: Strength & Might

  • The Names we learn: We dive into Al-Qawiyy (The Strong), Al-’Azeez (The Mighty), and Al-Jabbaar (The Compeller).
  • Staggered for focus: I’ve used a "staircase" layout for these Names, allowing children to focus on one attribute at a time as they move through the lesson.
  • Who it’s for: Perfect for high-energy kids who connect with concepts of power, strength, and solid foundations.
