Al-’Aalem
๐ฟ Understanding the
Meaning
The One whose knowledge is comprehensive and
extends to everything seen and unseen, apparent and hidden.
Help children connect the Name to daily life:
• feelings,
• family relationships,
• nature,
• kindness,
• patience,
• or gratitude.
✍️ Writing the Name
Three learning styles:
For Younger Students
๐️ Tactile → Build or shape the letters
For Developing Writers
✏️
Trace → Follow guided lines slowly
For Older Students
๐
Copy → Write independently in a notebook. For greater challenge respond to
Notebook reflection prompt.
Repetition builds familiarity gently over time.
๐ง Reflection Question
“How does knowing this Name help us trust Allah more?”
๐จ
Activity: Hopes for the Future & Al-’Aleem
Objective: To express personal hopes and dreams while learning to trust
Allah’s perfect knowledge (Al-’Aleem) regarding what is best for our
future.
Step 1: Express Your Hopes. Have your child draw a picture or write a list of their biggest
hopes and dreams for the future.
Step 2: Trusting Al-’Aleem. Remind the child that Allah is Al-’Aleem—He knows the future
and knows exactly what is best for us. Teach them to ask Allah to grant these
hopes only if He knows they are truly good for them in this life and the next.
Step 3: Quran Connection. Read and memorize this beautiful, comprehensive dua’ from the
Quran for goodness in the future:
ุฑَุจََّูุงٓ ุกَุงุชَِูุง
ِูู ูฑูุฏَُّْููุง ุญَุณََูุฉًۭ َِููู ูฑَْููุٔงุฎِุฑَุฉِ ุญَุณََูุฉًۭ ََِูููุง ุนَุฐَุงุจَ ูฑَّููุงุฑِ
Rabbana
atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan waqina 'adhaban-nar.
Our Lord, give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that
which is good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
๐ Evening Rhythm
Before bed:
Read the poem together slowly and peacefully.
Invite your child to create:
• a rhyme,
• a reflection,
• or a short family nasheed using the Name.
Small repeated moments help knowledge settle deeply in the heart.
